On October 26, 2025, Xi'an experienced its first clear autumn day after a prolonged period of rainy weather, marked by gentle sunshine and balmy, pleasant temperatures. That afternoon, the School of Civil Engineering successfully held the 2025 International Student Badminton Match at its Xiaozhai Campus. Sixteen international students from multiple countries enthusiastically participated, demonstrating spirited athletic enthusiasm and vibrant cross-cultural engagement.
The match followed a singles elimination format, progressing through four rigorous rounds: the round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals, comprising a total of 16 thrilling matches. Lasting approximately two and a half hours, the event saw players giving their all on the court, showcasing both skilled techniques and tenacious competitive spirit. The atmosphere was electric, with waves of applause from the enthusiastic audience. The championship match was particularly intense, featuring numerous extended rallies and spectacular offensive and defensive exchanges that brought the competition to a climactic finish. Ultimately, MUHAMMAD ASAD NAVEED claimed the championship title with his consistent performance, while SHAHIN ALAM and MD ROKINUL ISLAM NISHAN secured the second and third places, respectively.
