On the afternoon of November 2nd, 2024, the School of Civil Engineering successfully held the 2024 Badminton Competition for International Students at the Xiaozhai Campus. 22 international students participated in this competition, showing great enthusiasm.
The competition consisted of men's singles and women's singles events. The atmosphere at the competition site was lively, intense, and enthusiastic. The players demonstrated excellent badminton skills and a tenacious competitive spirit. After several rounds of fierce competition, the winners were finally determined. In the men's singles event, ASIM KHAN KHATTAK won the championship, while RAJUN MD ABDUR RAHIM and HAFIZ MUHAMMAD IRFAN won the second and third prizes respectively. In the women's singles event, ABIGAIL AYANDA HLATSHWAYO and NATALIE TINOTENDA TAURO won the first and second prizes respectively.

This competition provided a stage for international students to showcase their sports talents, promoted cultural exchanges among international students, and enhanced the friendship among international students as well as between international students and Chinese teachers and students. Through this badminton competition, the enthusiasm of international students for physical exercise was effectively stimulated, their campus life was enriched, and their collective cohesion was also enhanced. The competition demonstrated the positive, hard-working, and enterprising spirit of the international students in the School of Civil Engineering.
